What to bring to school

Every day, you need to have the following items in school:

     - correct school uniform and shoes

     - reading folder with reading books/ reading record

     - water bottle

     - PE kit

We have all the stationery that you will need, so please do not bring any others in.

Please make sure that all items are named.

Reading

The children should take home two reading books from the classroom, and can change their books as frequently as needed. Don't forget to get an adult to sign your Reading Record and bookmark every time that you read at home (class reading books/ library books/ own books).

Prior to Covid-19, Chipmunks visited the library on a Tuesday, Rabbits on a Wednesday. All of Year 2 are able to visit the library on a Thursday lunchtime. If you want to swap books, remember to bring them in on these days. You are allowed to borrow two library books at a time and keep them for up to two weeks.

At the bottom of the page is a recommended read list for Year 2 children. Some of the books we have/will be reading in class. This is not an exhaustive or compulsory list.
