The New Curriculum for computing places emphasis on children’s understating of algorithms (a set of instructions to make things happen digitally). It also requires children to learn how to create, organize and manipulate digital content. We place great importance on children learning to keep ‘safe’ whilst in the digital world with regular e-safety lessons and parent workshops.
At Holly Lodge all our classrooms have an interactive white board with internet access. We have embedded computer use in our teaching and in children’s learning.
Our children are growing up in a digital world and we work to ensure they are digitally literate – able to express themselves and develop their ideas, through information and communication technology.
