Safeguarding

At Holly Lodge Primary Academy, the health, safety and well-being of every child is our top priority. We expect all staff, governors and volunteers to share this commitment to safeguarding our pupils. Volunteers are asked to sign to confirm that they will adhere to our safeguarding principles and understand how to report safeguarding concerns.

All staff and governors undertake regular Safeguarding staff training. We follow Surrey safer recruitment processes and strictly vet all staff, governors and volunteers.

We recognise that some children may be the victims of neglect, physical, sexual or emotional abuse and all staff undertake regular training so that they are able torecognise signs of abuse. Staff of the school will often, by virtue of their day-to-day contact and knowledge of the children, be well-placed to identify such abuse and abuse and offer support to children in need.
